We’re Restoring this Abandon Cemetery in Farmerville, Louisiana.
It is our objective at Community Memorial Garden to reflect and support the historical relationships to maintaining graves sites. The original purposes established by the "Old Public Historic Cemetery" by Ordinance of Town founders in September 22, 1841 is the final resting place of prominent early settlers, Veterans from World War I, World War II and Vietnam War. The cemetery has graves sites dating back to Civil War and slavery years with the earliest know burial in year 1828. Sadly, many graves were given no markers.
The goal of Community Memorial Garden Cemetery (CMGC)is to: maintain the burial grounds as promised to the early pioneers; insure a safe and secure setting for visitors; and to record and preserve burial records and documents into the future. To do this CMGC will need your help! Cash gifts of $10.00 or more will assist in making the necessary capital improvements which are above normal operating expenses. Every dollar is appreciated, and your cash gifts will assist CMGC and volunteers in maintaining these historic grounds for years to come. 100% of funds donated will be given to the cemetery board, CMGC is a non-Profit organization with NO paid personnel.
